Four Winds Social is a small, woman-owned business built from a genuine love of the game of mahjong and a deep appreciation for beautiful, thoughtful design. What began as a passion for gathering around the table has grown into a brand centered on connection, aesthetics, and craftsmanship.

Because we are a small business, every order truly matters. Each purchase directly supports our work, allows us to continue creating limited-run designs, and helps us deliver the level of care and customer service we believe our community deserves.

How long does preorder shipping take?

Preorder timelines can fluctuate based on manufacturing and freight schedules. We’ll always keep you informed with updates along the way and communicate any changes as soon as we have them.

Once mats are in stock, how long is shipping?

For preorder items, please allow up to 2 weeks for shipping once the mats have arrived and are in stock. We work hard to get orders out as quickly as possible, but fulfillment timelines can vary based on order volume.

For standard in-stock orders, please allow 3–5 business days for processing and shipping.

Will you restock sold-out designs?

No. All Four Winds Social mats are produced in small, limited runs. Once a design sells out, it will not be restocked but may return in a slightly different color-way or variation. This keeps each mat feeling special, collectible, and intentional.

How do I care for my mat?

Treat it like a tabletop textile-durable, but deserving of care. Wipe clean with a damp cloth. Avoid prolonged direct sunlight to preserve color.

If needed, cold wash, gentle cycle. Lay flat to dry. No heat.

How do I stay updated on new releases?

Join our email list and follow us on social media for early access, restock updates, and behind-the-scenes looks at upcoming designs.

What is your return policy?

Due to the limited nature of our collections, all sales are final. We are unable to accept returns or exchanges once an order has shipped. Unless an item arrives damaged or defective, we do not accept returns, exchanges, or cancellations. We encourage customers to review product details carefully before completing their purchase.

What if my mat arrives damaged or defective?

We take great care in packing every order. If your mat arrives damaged or with a manufacturing defect, please contact us within 5 days of delivery with your order number and photos of the issue. We will gladly replace the item or offer a solution where available.

What if I entered the wrong shipping address?

Please double-check your shipping details before placing your order. Four Winds Social is not responsible for packages sent to incorrect addresses provided at checkout. If you notice an error immediately after ordering, contact us as soon as possible and we’ll do our best to help before the order ships.

Can I cancel or change my order?

Because our mats are produced in small batches and often sell out quickly, orders cannot be canceled or modified once placed.

What if my package is lost or I don't receive in time?

Shipping charges are non-refundable. If your package is lost in transit or doesn’t arrive, notify us within 3 weeks of the original shipping date so we can investigate with the carrier and help coordinate next steps.
